Herzegovina’s Gem on the European List: Kravica Named One of 12 Hidden Treasures 

Kravica Waterfall, one of Herzegovina’s most beautiful natural gems, has been included among the 12 best hidden treasures in Europe for 2026 on the Best Treasure Destinations in Europe list published by the renowned tourism platform European Best Destinations.

Kravica ranked seventh, joining a selection of attractive European destinations such as Tübingen in Germany, Motovun in Croatia, Isola San Giulio in Italy and Meteora in Greece.

The Tourism Board of the City of Ljubuški says the recognition confirms not only the natural value of Kravica, but also the authenticity of the entire area, which has increasingly attracted visitors from Bosnia and Herzegovina, the region and around the world in recent years.

“This recognition represents much more than another tourism award. It confirms that the beauty of Kravica, as well as the authenticity of the area in which it is located, has its place on the European tourism map,” the Tourism Board of the City of Ljubuški said.

Through its travertine barriers, the Trebižat River has shaped one of the most impressive natural phenomena in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Surrounded by greenery and natural pools, Kravica Waterfall is particularly attractive during the warmer months, when its cascades and clear water create a spectacular scene that draws numerous nature lovers and photography enthusiasts.
