Located in the village of Očauš, approximately 40 kilometres from Teslić, is the cave of the same name. Očauš is an extensive cave with two levels, and the explored passages extend for approximately 500 metres.
The entrance to the cave lies at an altitude of 973 metres above sea level, and the approach to the entrance is steep and quite challenging.
The cave has been professionally explored and surveyed several times, but never in its entirety. The first explorations were carried out by a team from the National Museum of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Sarajevo in 1971.
Between 1983 and 1987, Čedomir Crnogorac, a geography teacher at a secondary school in Teslić, visited the cave on several occasions with his students and carried out some measurements.
The first more extensive surveys and explorations were conducted by the Ponir Speleological Society from Banja Luka in 1997 and 1998.
Although the cave has not been developed for tourism, it still has a place in the tourist offer of the Municipality of Teslić, thanks to its combination of nearby hiking trails, rural households in Očauš, and beautiful natural surroundings.
