An Open Day was organized at the “Calzedonia” production plant in Prijedor, and many citizens took the opportunity to visit the plant in Brezičani. They looked at the modern machines and the area where the preparatory part and sewing of women’s socks of this well-known Italian brand is carried out.

The plan is to expand production, which is why they need more workers. The workers emphasize that they are satisfied with the working conditions and salary.

“I have been working at ‘Calzedonia’ for over three years. I am an operator at TC, i.e. preparing for the sewing room. We make a large quantity, so that the seamstresses can sew socks. I am satisfied with my salary, we have the weekend off and we have four collective annual days in a year”, Zorica Jojic told Prijedor24.com.

Francesco Rufoli, director of “Calzedonia” for Bosnia and Herzegovina, said that they organized the Open Day with the aim of presenting the company and what they do, but also to recruit new employees.

“We sew women’s socks. We have two stages of production. The first is fully automated, and the second stage is the final product, the sewn socks, which is further processed. The raw material comes to us from Italy and a part from Croatia. It’s our goal to hire more workers, which we need, and we offer good conditions”, he said Ruffoli.

“Calzedonia” in Prijedor currently employs 440 workers, and they need another 600.

U Bosni i Hercegovini imaju još tri proizvodna pogona: jedan u Novom Gradu /Bosanski Novi i dva u Novoj Topoli.

This Italian company has five thousand sales facilities in 43 countries around the world.
