President of the Government of Posavina Canton Đuro Topić and the owner of Maxhof Gruppe Ivica Turza opened the newly built Maxhof facility in the area of the Entrepreneurial Zone in Orašje with a ceremonial ribbon cutting on Thursday.
Maxhof Gruppe is 100% owner and manufacturer of the Maxhof brand, small household appliances.
The facility extends to 3,200 m2 where, among other things, there are production, storage and office spaces built according to world standards. In the first phase, about 30 workers will find work in the company, because their intention is to expand the business to the entire European market, said Turza, a businessman who currently lives in Singapore.
– I am glad that Maxhof sprung up in Orašje because it has potential for economic development. This is only the first step that we want to create, which is, first of all, quality jobs so that young people stay in their hometown. We will employ young people with university degrees in order to make sure that from Posavina they can cooperate equally well with Germany, Australia, Singapore and China, said Turza and emphasized the excellent cooperation with the cantonal and institutions of the City of Orašje.
As the media previously reported, Ivica Turza, the owner of Maxhof Gruppe, is a world-class entrepreneur. He was born in Germany, has been living in Singapore for the last few years, where he works on the East Asian market and has companies in Switzerland and Singapore. He opened his first company in Orašje for several reasons, in addition to the rest because his roots are in Posavina.
The President of the Government of Posavina Canton, Đuro Topić, also expressed his satisfaction with the opening of the new business entity, which, he said, made the Entrepreneurial Zone in Orašje even more complete, and thereby confirmed it as a place suitable for investment, writes Businessinfo.
